I'm reading a fantasy book called "the Serpent's Shadow" written by Rick Riordan. from reading the cover and what it look like, you see this long memorial in the middle surrounded with orange mist and you see the shadow of a serpent. This serpent might not be the actual thing from what you read, the serpent can be a item that is very powerful and the guardians are the "shadows" of had the weapon or chosen to have it.
From the blurb, I read"These teenagers, Carter and Sadie, play a important role in restoring this god, Ma'at, order to the world. this chaos snake, Apophis is loose and threatening to destroy the world in three days. From this event, magicians are divided. the gods are disappearing, especially the ones that help get Carter and Sadie to improve and get forward in missions. sadly, the remaining gods that still exists are weak. Walt, a gifted initiates, is in trouble and he can already feel his life ending." From the blurb, the author sucks you into the story. Making a influence on buying his book.Zia is busy taking care of the senile sun god, Ra. so far they have too much to handle in their life.
From my prediction for there life. It will be difficult to stop Apophis. This is a life risking solution. this might be the last book in this series but they wont die at all. the twist that they wont die right but everybody that they cared about are destroyed or they are controlled.
